About i☆Ris
i☆Ris is a Japanese idol group formed in 2012, known for blending the worlds of J-pop and voice acting. They are produced by Avex, managed by 81 Produce, and release music under the DIVE II Entertainment label. The group currently consists of five members, each represented by their own signature color. With their dual activities as idols and voice actresses, they are often described as a hybrid group.
From August 2013 to December 2014, the group hosted the radio show A&G Artist Zone i☆Risの2h. In addition to their musical career, all members were cast in leading voice roles for the anime series PriPara, which began in August 2014. Their work in the series helped establish them as prominent figures in both the idol and voice acting scenes.
In March 2016, i☆Ris received the Best Musical Performance award at the 10th Seiyuu Awards—recognition for their success as performers and voice talents.
Former member Azuki Shibuya graduated from the group on March 31, 2021, to pursue her personal goals. Since then, i☆Ris has continued its activities as a five-member unit.
