About Fukumura Mizuki
Fukumura Mizuki joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello! Pro Egg on June 22, 2008, with Kaneko Rie and Takeuchi Akari. Prior to this, she was the runner-up in the Kirarin☆Girls competition in 2006.
In 2009, Fukumura became a member of Shugo Chara Egg! to promote the anime Shugo Chara Party!, representing Amulet Heart. She was also a backup dancer in two of Mano Erina’s promotional videos.
On January 2, 2011, Fukumura made her debut as a member of the ninth generation of Morning Musume, joining the three audition winners Ikuta Erina, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon.
Mizuki was appointed to the newly formed position of deputy leader of Hello! Project at the first showcase concert “Hello! Project COUNTDOWN PARTY ~GOOD BYE & HELLO~” on December 31, 2016, to perform alongside new leader Wada Ayaka. The rankings were announced before °C-ute’s disbandment in spring 2017 and the graduation of previous leader Yajima Maimi.
With DAWA’s graduation from Hello! Project, Fukumura Mizuki became the leader of Hello! Project. After a while, Mizuki eventually became the longest-serving Morning Musume leader in 2019. She graduated from both Morning Musume and Hello! Project in November 2023, making her the longest-serving Hello! Project member, surpassing former Berryz Koubou member Tsugunaga Momoko. After Mizuki, no one has taken the title of leader of Hello! Project. Perhaps that’s why there hasn’t been a deputy leader.
In 2024, Fukuchan transferred from Up-Front to J.P. ROOM. She held her first fan event on November 29th titled Fukumura Mizuki FC Event 2024 ~Fuku no Hi ni Kanpai!~. At the event, she announced her solo debut for April 2025.
